About the Safe Freight Program
The Safe Freight Program (SFP) is an independent verification layer for the heavy-vehicle freight industry. It lets a receiving site confirm a driver's or vehicle's current standing in the program at the point of pickup or delivery — in seconds, at the gate.
SFP exists to make that check fast, portable, and verifiable. A driver carries one credential that travels with them across carriers and sites; a site operator checks it without a phone call or a paper folder; and every result shows what was verified, when, and by what method.
What SFP is — and isn't
SFP confirms participation and standing in the program. Standing is program-relative, always dated, always method-identified — never a certification, approval, clearance or licence, never a statement that a law has been complied with, and never a statement of fitness for any duty or purpose. SFP informs decisions; it never makes them — entry to a site is always the site's own decision. Detailed records sit behind authorised access; the public check shows standing only.
An established practice
Gate-level checking of drivers and vehicles is established practice in bulk fuel and dangerous goods. SFP brings that discipline to general freight.
