Facts

On 7 July 2026, a Kenworth heavy vehicle was driving Northbound on Pacific Highway Mt White NSW. It was towing 2 trailers carrying caravans. The vehicle was driven by an employee of the registered operator. The vehicle’s permitted dimension length was 26 metres. The vehicle’s length dimension was measured at 27.43m which was rounded down to 27.40m. After taking into account the adjustable dimension, the vehicle’s assessed length dimension was 27.30m. The contravention resulted in a severe risk breach. The driver admitted under Caution that the vehicle had been loaded at the yard before he drove the vehicle without checking the length. A Direction Notice to reduce the length was issued to the driver. The registered operator did not appear for sentence and the matter proceeded in its absence.

As reported by NHVR.
