Facts
On 6 July 2021 a linehaul truck driver was operating a heavy vehicle between his Brisbane depot and a changeover point at Clybucca. The driver attempted to cross the road and was hit by a vehicle, sustaining fatal injuries. After a SafeWork NSW investigation the company was charged with a breach of section 32/19(1) of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, and on 22 March 2024 it was convicted by the District Court and fined $800,000.
